Canine Conditioning involves using appropriate exercises to help dogs develop strength, improve balance and body awareness to support healthy movement throughout all stages of life. Conditioning exercises can be a useful addition for many dogs, including:
-
Active and Sporting Dogs
-
Senior Dogs
-
Dogs returning to activity following veterinary treatment or rehabilitation from an injury
-
Dogs that would benefit from improved body awareness, coordination and stability
-
Dogs receiving regular maintenance massage therapy
All exercises are tailored to the individual dog and their needs, abilities and lifestyle
How Sessions work

Conditioning exercises can be incorporated into your dog's massage treatment where appropriate, providing a practical way to support the benefits of therapy between appointments. These extended sessions include an assessment of your dog's movement and the opportunity to learn suitable exercises that you can continue at home.
For dogs not requiring massage therapy, individual conditioning sessions are also available at my clinic or within a 5-mile radius for home visits. Sessions are booked on an ad hoc basis, with exercises tailored and progressed according to your dog's individual needs, goals and progress—there is no requirement to commit to a fixed programme.
I also offer canine conditioning workshops for clubs, training groups and organisations. Workshops can be tailored to suit the group and typically include an assessment of each dog's movement, together with practical exercises and guidance for owners to continue at home.
